Just picked up a 98 a4. The mirrors have the usual faded glass. My mirrors had no problems on my 01 but on my 96,98, and 99 a4s every single mirror had fading and was impossible to see. I was wondering what is needed to swap with the auto dazzling mirrors from a 00-01 a4? The way it mounts to the car is obviously the same but what would I need to do for wiring it? I searched but couldn't find anything..maybe I'm just missing it but if anyone knows it would be a big help. If it's gonna be a complicated swap I'll just buy new mirror glass and be done with it, but if its not too big of deal then I can pick up some 00-01 mirrors for cheap.

 

unless you have a memo mirror on the passenger side the mirrors are the same and you just need the glass swap. If your mirrors are leaking fluid they are auto dim i do believe. you just need to tap the mirrors into the auto dim rear view mirror for you to have the feature.
