does anyone have a 99.5 sport with these wheels b/c i was under the assumption that these wheels were the only thing that the 99.5s didnt get with the 00 upgrade.

I am looking at this really clean 99.5 and it has these rims so im just wondering what the deal is...

 

whats the problem? do you doubt that its really a 99.5 because of the tires? or do you just not like those wheels?

 

those look more like the A6's dont they??
i have a 99.5, I know its the winter pkg but im not sure about the sport pkg... it does have the 3 spoke (sport?) steering wheel tho... anyways i guess you can look at my wheels on the pics i have (since idk how to put them on comments).

 

Does it matter? Its only the wheels. If you doubt its a 99.5 just look on the door frame at the manufacturer info and you can tell there. I have those same wheels on my 00'. They recognize that the car is turbo.

 

Thanks but 10 spoke means its a sport you have a 1.8T nonsport (8 spoke) and the 2.8 had the 5 spoke(nonsport). im pretty sure all the steering wheels were upgraded to 3 spoke in 99.

 

Does it matter? kinda. Whats the problem? nothing. Those 10 spokes are the best looking stock rims i feel. Just curious about this I found this thing driving by locally and quickly stopped and just drove around the block on the way to work, I thought it was a 00 b/c of the wheels and he said it was a 99.5. i had to go quickly but im going tomorrow for an extended test drive.

As far as the wheels go, i agree those are nice looking. I like the 5 spokes on mine, just wish they were bigger. I dunno if the wheels is a good indicator of the year of the car however...think of how many people on this forum alone have switched and swapped wheels and bumpers and lights and this, that, the other.

these wheels have been used for like the past 5 years lol... started on the 02+ model A4 now they are using them or at least were using them for A3s.

 

no actually mine is the 2.8 lol does that mean i have the sport??
