Default 99 a4 1.8t starts and shuts off

how do i align my throttle body? or where would i go to do that? i live in ny.......

what part?, and just keep the engine off. and leave the key in accessory for like 5 - 10 min it will re align its self, and make sure you dont touch the pedal at all

in queens..... ozone park...... i tried that before and it didnt work.... i left it in acc or aout 5 minutes and it would start and shut off... so playing with the gas pedal makes it stay on... fater fiddlng with it i dont have to touch it...it just comes idles... but rough... when i unplug the throttle body it idles normal..........

the temp sensor is new... i just bought it from the dealer.... the old one was throwing anengine code.... i drove the car for 2 months after it was changed..... so i know its ok....

what about your maf, did u try unplugging it? a CEL will show and you will be running rich.. but if the car runs fine then u might want to replace that

not trying to be a dick, but how many threads are you going to make? Thats 3 today about the same topic. Be patient, people will help you if you give them the right info. There are TONS of topics here, tons of helpful people, and the search button is always a great tool =)

thanx Jc... i didnt realize what i was doing... kinda new to the forum thing...... but as for mr teamdaraptor.... is this your forum... because if there is a problem with asking a question then i guess the forum is pointless... right... look at all thepeople who write bs on there which is off the topic... isnt the point of an audi forum to talk about audi's.... lol... well... still the same problem.... got to find someone with a vag in NYC.....
