Default 99 a4 b5 shakes over 45 after snowstorm

Hey guys,

I was stuck in the snow earlier on my 99 audi a4 b5 1.8t manual tran and got it out after about 25 mins of high revs and lots of turning. It was very iced up. So i get on the highway and for the first time when i hit around 45mph the car started shaking insanely and got worse as i went faster. Any ideas?

Fyi: the car has new upper and lower control arms in the front on both sides. About 5mos old. Tires are 3 months olds. Never had this issue before.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I am new to this and I don't live where its cold... but have you checked for ice buildup behind the wheels or somewhere else under the front or rear of the vehicle.

Thats exactly what it was! I feel like such a newbie lol. But I never had that happen before and thought of the worst because of the age of the car and the stress I put it through.

Yup exactly. Front passenger tire had ice build up on the rotor and everywhere inside. Thanks for all the help!

It's handy when it's a real easy (and cheap) fix
