I read you're thread about the custom exhaust. I've got a Dynomax super turbo muffler at the shop, i know its not the best muffler at only $35. My question to you is what are your thoughts on what the sound me be like? We've got that muffler on a 944 race car right now, straight piped from headers, and its WAYYYY too loud. Just wonder what you think it would sound like with a stock cat and res.

I know the quattro's rear setup is a fully adjustable rear camber and toe through the accentrics. It would appear as though you could elongate the bolt hole for the hub/lower strut to axle beam though to give you the correct camber. I know on 944's we have to do this all the time because the rear banannas are aluminum and are always bent costing a billion dollars to replace so we just elongate the existing holes in the torsion tube to allow for correct camber.
hmm that's a good idea. if it fails then i'll be looking at picking up a new axle beam anyway.

first, is it s 1.8 or a 2.8l? on my 2.8 12v it had a nice sound with the res still on there. was like a muffled hi-tech type of sound. after i had removed the res and bent up something custom its now more aggressive with a deeper tone. it is louder but not to loud unless you drive it loud... also brings up the revs faster with the exhaust opened up. i suggest removing the res with your custom pipes as long as you dont mind the tone that you get in the car with out it...

Default Any updates?

Anybody sort out a solution for changing camber on the 1-piece FWD rear axles? I am looking at shim kits but they only adjust 1 degree of camber, probably not enough.
