A4 1.8t Slowly Losing Charge While Running? Please Help

I noticed you said you wired it to a toggle. Is this a 3 way toggle? It would have to be, one for off position, one for positive on, and one for positive on + start.

It's a simple ON to crank and OFF to not crank. I have a 3 way toggle but didn't end up needing it.

if it looses charge as you drive... that means that you have a loose serpentine belt. as you're driving faster the loose belt just slips off the alternator pulley due to lack of tension. Check the tension on your belt. if your belt is good then you have a bad alternator... just pick one up at the part store im pretty sure they have one... if not visit the local junk yard... last resort is to order one online somewhere... i hope that helps
