Default A4 2.8 12v remote turbo build

Well I plan on buying up some parts for a remote turbo build and I really have no idea what is going to be needed in order to do the setup. I have a few friends that build turbo cars all day long and was just wondering if I can get some input for the buil like parts, fabrication, time, cost. etc anything that will be helpful.

do u know how to tune a car for that because theirs no tunes for that so you'll have to pay a lot for a custom tune or buy a management system to tune your car. you'll also have to get an intercooler, and most likely bigger injectors, fpr, ect... for the tune.

why not bag the idea and sell your car and get a 1.8T? theirs plenty of turbo upgrades and tuning options with no real risk of blowing up your car

this has been tried a few times before. it ends up costing more then you paid for the car in the end, and is much cheaper to just sell it and buy a 1.8t. if you are dead set on keeping your 2.8 for whatever reason, you will be figuring most of it out on your own as there isnt much info online about doing this. try the search function.

Im really actually depating selling the car. But I really like the idea of a remote turbo seems that no one really wants to deal with the 2.8's idk why theyre pretty much a 2.7 with thinner walls. If a 2.7t can take the beating why couldnt this car. And if the parts tools and skills are available I cant see why not. Ive also been reading up on a lota diff remote builds

Default Turbo 12v omg!!!

yeah its gonna be a pretty complicated build but im sure in the end that all of the work will pay off as long as the engine and tuning is up to par. sucks that pretty much no one has put there information out there for this build and ill just be going on by what passat builders and vw peeps be doing since the engine is pretty similar. Hoping to get 300 but i doubt it. Ill be fine with just a clean turbo and that extra HP.

If anyone has anymore info on this build please feel free to let me know on what is needed.

Also how hard is it to setup megasquirt in these cars
