Default A4 2.8 guestion.

Hey guys what's up. I just purchesed my 2nd A4 after wrecking my first and selling my mk4 gti. i'm getting the itch to mod it possibly but i want peoples opinions on if it's worth it. Its a 96 A4 2.8q w/156k. Body is in perfect shape. All records and everytime something that needed to be replaced they previous owner took it to the dealer ship. I only paid 2500 for it. I know as far as performance i'm very limited with it being the 12v, but would you guys maybe do a few mods to make it look good. I was thinking the H&R sport spring/bilstein shock set and some wheels. Anything else. Thanks in advance for the help.

Ecode headlights, facelift foglights, smoked side marker lights, facelift tail lights, tint windows, coilovers, rear anti-sway bar, wheels/tires, call it a day.

Flippant's got it right. Do the 1 piece headlight conversion to the ecodes, updated tail lights, some H&R's and a nice set of wheels and call it a day. you might grab an ebay intake on the cheap ~$80. they look nice and sound great, but expect no performance gains.

Welcome to the 12v world.

I've been getting killed at work, and with spring in the air 'round these parts, I've been "directed" by my wife to spend less time wrenching and more time working on the house. The audi's been on jackstands for about a week. I straight hired a landscaper instead so I have time again!

I just finished it up last night around 2am, and am back to driving it again as of this morning. new sway bars, fresh mounts, and I had to do a complete brake rebuild asmy passenger front completely locked up on me.turns out last brake job someone unseated a dust book I pulled all 4 calipers and rebuilt them ground up. was REAL close to biting the bullet on a BBK... but couldn't get over the $2k price with a 12v under the hood. I still have an exhaust leak i need to repair from winter destroying my flex pipes... need gas for the mig welder first.

I'm looking for a local Columbus Fiber Images dealer... looks like this spring I'm going with CF hood, fenders, euro trunk, and front lip. I'll be partially painting the fenders and hood... I don't want the raw look except on the trunk. There's a company in Dublin/Hilliard according to Fiber's site. we'll see what happens. I've got alot of cospetics this year planned.

SO the short of it is, i'm back for spring, and I'll keep everyone posted as more work progresses. I plan on a 1.8t BT bored over and BT this winter hopefully, all depends on what the house (and wife) hit me for this year in upgrades.

good to be back posting!

what i would do is srping and shocks (maybe just swap over the stuff from a sports package) ecodes with xenon lighting, sway bars and exahust, and throw on a nice set of wheels. oh and cant forget the snub mount. after that you should have a really good looking car.
