Morning,

Im a new A4 owner, Picked up a V reg A4 Avant 2.5Tdi last month, it has been a lot of fun (and still is) to drive, cannot believe I have never owned a VAG car before.

Ive put about 1000 miles on her in the last 3 weeks, she hasnt missed a beat, however, yesterday she started making an almost rasping noise between 2.25 and 2.5K RPM, no loss of power and it only does it under load, wont recreate the sound when not moving.

can anyone offer any suggestions?
