Default A4 b5 1.8t Q exhaust

Hey guys, I just bought an 01 A4 1.8t quattro. I am kinda new to the world of audi. I am planning on upgrading the exhaust in the future but stumped on what to get. I want to get the MagnaFlow 14816 muffler and a down pipe but keep the stock cats and resonator. Am I able to do this?
My first choice was the cx racing cat back but a lot of reviews were negative. I'm not looking to spend more than $400

Yeah you can get a 14816 muffler, it's a popular upgrade.
There aren't many separate downpipe options available, and anything you find will tend to be expensive (> $200).

FYI there is only one cat on your car.

Okay if I were to just install the 14816 muffler would I notice much sound gain if any? And I know it's only one cat lol it was the spellcheck?

And I'm not looking for hp gains just a little more sound than stock

My old car had the middle resonator deleted when I bought it, so with the 14816 it was fairly loud. I later put in a Magnaflow resonator and that brought the sound down some.

You would probably experience a little increased sound and a better exhaust note.
