I found the part number for the one fitting the AFB and AKN engines, both 2.5 diesels. 8D0-906-087-AQ but the # doesn't work in my system to order or even price it since it only recognizes parts for the North American market. I checked to see if any US model Audi uses this part number and none do. I checked VW and everything I see in my system says no US VW uses this pump either. If you have no luck googling that part number try 8D0-906-087-T as that appears to be the first number used, and then it superseded to the 8D0906087AQ. Good luck!

Our system doesn't tell us what pump to use for a certain part number on a gas tank. That's a great question though and would make parts conversions a lot easier for guys doing projects. In this case, the # you gave me, I'm assuming it was on the tank in your picture 8D0201021E doesn't work in my system. I don't doubt that it's what you read, but not every number on a part from an Audi is the number that works in our parts catalog or pricing system. It certainly looks like it should as the characters are just like every other Audi part number out there but in this case it doesn't help me. What I can tell you is for your 2000 A4q with 2.5 diesel, if in fact you have the AFB or AKN series 2.5 liter, the fuel tank you should have in your car is part number 8E0201075BG. I tried crossing your number to this one, and mine to yours but found nothing there to confirm the part number you gave me is for that car. I realize you really just want to make sure that pump 8D0906087AQ is supposed to fit the part number of the tank in your picture but I can't answer that for you. Only because our system isn't set up that way.

If you gave me your vin number, I could verify what series engine you have, and tell you the correct part numbers you'd want for any part on your car. Like for this fuel pump, but the only number I found for a 2.5 diesel was that fuel pump # I gave you earlier.

I hope this helps, sorry we couldn't answer the question on fitment for you. Jeff.

Audi A4 B5 2,5 TDI V6 is very common here in the UK, both in FWD and quattro guise.

No UK-spec B5's were available with the S-Line trim though. Just SE or Sport.
