so I feel like if all the injector circuits are open it must be a bad ground or bad connection to the ecu? On the passenger side the housing on the wiring is slightly melted on the outside, perhaps this is causing the problem, but wouldnt that only open the circuits for the three on that side and not all six? I dont know much about wiring and such. The idle is still smooth though.
I just ordered an LYL model VAG-506 so that i can do a throttle body realignment, apparently on some cars this has to be done every time the battery is disconnected? Seems strange but I dont know
While I'm waiting for that to come in the mail i might at well take off the whole throttle body and clean it

I've never done much work on injectors aside from taking them out and putting them back in, but yes I would agree that if ALL are not working at the same time, it's not them, it's something else controlling them.
I don't think you need to take the TB all the way out to clean it. You can of course, but I don't think it's necessary and it adds a lot of heartache. When I cleaned mine I just needed to take the black snorkel thing that connects on the back off. Then I could reach the plate/valve to clean it.

update
So I got the new reader, and after having the battery disconnected again overnight because I was looking at some potential wiring issues I hooked it up.
it says code 06201 wsc 06335, I am having a hard time figuring out what this one means it seems to be either vacuum leak or throttle body problem. I did the throttle body alignment with the reader that didnt seem to do anything. I pulled the fuel pump relay and cleaned the contacts and that seems to have made the fuel injector open circuit code go away. Any ideas?

nevermind i dont know what i am doing. scratch that last post, i erased the codes to see what would pop up and i got throttle control valve malfunction and maf input too low. its possible that I fried something in the maf wiring when i tried to jump the wires while it was unplugged (bad advice from a co worker). or its possible that the maf is bad.
