So I was thinking of making my own custom tail lights. I've never done this before so I'm not really sure how I would do it. But probably gut it just so its empty inside, and then make my own little board for the led's and then add them, not sure what led's to buy though, anyone know any good ones for tail lights?

Starting from the bottom.
1st. Daylight, so its on when ever my car is.
2nd. when I turn on my headlights.
3rd. Turn signals
4th. back up light.
5th. brake light.

 

I think the tough part would be isolating the LED's from one another, so the respective colors don't pollute each other when its dark and make your tails look like a big bright blob, yenno what i mean? Cool idea though, I'm interested to see how this turns out!

 

Yeah but since they are tinted, then they shouldnt make a big bright bulb look, but maybe they will inside?

 

Interesting idea, but I would skip the yellow turn signals and just stick with red. Please let us know if/ how you do it, and how it turns out...

i thought about doing this as well. would be pretty time consuming, and would most likely cost more to make it yourself than to just buy some

 

What's wrong with the stock ones?? and yes!! keep them amber!!!!

 

O there is nothing wrong with the stock ones! I love them, but I will probably change up the way they will look and show you guys. And I just started planning this so it might be in a month.

And its not more expensive than buying ones online. Plus they don't have any really good ones that are in my likings. And the ones online cost more. As in nice LED tail lights, i dont mean any random lights..

 

Maybe I'm just a little biased on the amberless, since the facelift B5's don't have amber on the taillights...
