Default A4 Headlight replacements?

How's everyone doing?!

As you may know, me and my car have had our problems... Upon closer inspection of it over time, I have decided it was (at one point) in a front end collision... Not sure how bad it was, but there is some bent metal, broken parts (like my washer fluid tank and some piece that sends the fluid to the headlights... I leaked a whole gallon before realizing I had a leak...let alone where it was!), and more.
Anyways! One of the broken parts are the headlights. I took out the old broken ones and put on some E-bay cheap ones... I needed something because the broken stock ones were pointing down...

So, how it looks now...its ugly... I have exposed rubber, loose wire from the halos and such that I didn't hook up... so inside and out, it doesn't look great. However the lights light up the road alright. The main thing I don't like about them though, is the fact that they shake... they didn't fit exactly right, so one of the bolts didn't go in proper... but basically they shake while I'm driving and it annoys me...

Are there any really good housings I can get? I live in a high deer area (which is why I have the Audi in the first place, hit a deer on the interstate a quarter mile before the warning sign...doing 80... not fun...). I'm not sure if I have a 1999.5 or a 1999, and I know that is a big part of what headlights I can get...

If anyone has any insight on what to get that would be really helpful!

I personally like the "R8" LED's as opposed to the Halos, and I know kinda cliche for my age, but I do like the HID's too... but that is no big deal...

Please let me know of any "good" ones that you guys know of, I just got the cheapest one's I could first time around, so next time around I won't skimp...

I have the Depo chrome one piece and absolutely love them. Depending on how much money you have ready for them, you could get OEM one piece. Also if you are watching out for deer then i suggest getting HIDs either from VVME or DDM Tuning.

From what I have seen, you will probably want a 10,000K HID upgrade, however, I do not know of any...I've seen some one Ebay... but then again that's Ebay...

Google the two names that Tware gave (VVME and DDM Tuning). Both of them offer HID kits (which from what I saw, looked pretty decent).
Sorry, I miss-read your post, I thought you wanted new housings as well. If you just want to replace the original light bulbs, I believe you can convert it to the HID... However, I'd get someone to second that before you do... I wouldn't want your housing to melt from the added heat!

If you were looking for a new housing all together, ebay has a multitude of them, but they are not the only one (however from what I have seen, they do offer the best price...but you pay for what you get in most cases...).

The link that Tware gave has housings on it, nothing fancy, just standard plug and play (although one has "angel eyes" and one has the "euro" style). But I don't think they have anything for 99.5 and up.

Speaking of 99.5, how do I determine whether or not I have a 99.5 or not?

Your factory radio will be "taller" or more "square" looking if you have the face lift. The face lift also has one piece headlights and fog lights in the lower grills.

ew, no.

4300k is white. 6000k is slightly blue, 8000k is blue, 10,000k is just ridiculous.

Over 8,000K and I expect to see a civic or integra. I personally don't like it that blue

According to just about everything on that grid thing, I have a 99.5... but my radio is smaller, I don't have the Bose system, I have the tape player... I checked my battery (assuming it's stock) its stamped January of 9 (assuming 99). So I'll call it a 99.5.

And yeah, with the 10,000K I think I may have been looking at another scale...possibly one on Ebay, but either way, my mistake, my apologies!

If I get HIDs, I'll personally go with 5,000K or 6,000K, anyone have them and can vouch for their worthiness?
