alright heres the deal. 1985 chevy camaro z28 automatic (350) wants to race me in a 1/4 mile. It's completely stock and I own a '98 a4 2.8 5spd with intake and speedtuning chip. Anyone think I have a shot?

 

Yeah I think you have a shot if you launch it right. You should be in the 15's, and he will be at least that unless he has NOS or some ****. It's gotta be done at a 1/4 mile track to be legit though. None of this 7-11 to Burger king 1/4 mile strip of road street racering bs.

 

he's completely stock, no nos or anything. I've done consistent 15.5's at the track this past summer.

 

It'll probably be a very close race. I really hate to say that too. Would suck to lose to an old *** camaro.
Is his engine original that you know of? Ever been rebuilt, etc?

85 z28's had a 305 not a 350. only the corvette's got the 350's. if he's got the 350 he should walk you. if he's got the 305 it will come down to the driver. both cars run 15's. but he's slightly faster

 

yeah the car does come stock with a 305 but he got it swapped out with a high mileage 350

 

350 will take you hands down as long as there are no serious issues with it. I had an 81 z28 4speed and that thing hauled

now hes got a 5.7 v8 in there...unless its the iroc Z which im not sure but they might have gotten a 350 theres no way that it was stock... its like saying you swapped out an s4 engine into yours and saying your a4 is stock
