ABS Light on at random times

Hello all,

Everytime I go on the interstate and am above 80mph for a long period of time my abs light turns on.... but if i turn my car off and turn it back on it goes away. any suggestions?

In my experience this was the result of an ABS sensor that wasn't pushed in far enough, or was damaged. Could also be an ABS module in need of a rebuild.

Only way to know is to check the ABS module for error codes with VAG-COM.

SHould just be a sensor

+1 for just a sensor but you'll have to do a scan for codes when the light is flashing in order to know which sensor is the faulty one

The codes should be stored right? shouldnt have to wait for the light, Idk if its different for the ABS, i know if your module is bad you cant get past the fault codes to get any other codes.

If the module is bad he should see the ABS light flashing much more often or always. The ABS related codes don't get stored, I had the same problem and I was not able to fix it until I made a scan before turning the car off.

I know it's totally off-topic but Eastern Europe is pretty warm this time of the year, the temperature is around 80 now and can go up to 95 - 100 in mid August. Where exactly would you like to go and what do you want to see exactly? :)
