Hey, could use some help. I have a 97 A4 1.8t automatic quattro (no tiptronic), and have been wanting to add a tiptronic shifter to it. I plan on using this guide, doesn't seem too hard, though having pics would probably help: B5 A4: Adding Tiptronic to a 97 A4 1.8T

My question is, will a tip shifter assembly from a 98 A4 2.8L quattro work? Cuz I've found a local place parting out a 2.8, but am having trouble finding a shifter assembly from a 1.8t.

I already got a TCU off of ebay from a 98 1.8t (part. no 8D0 927 156 BM). I just need the shifter assembly. I also have VAG Com so i can code the new TCM if I need to.
