Default Airbag Module?

So i recently fixed all of the CEL's on my car only to find that a new one has sprung and it is unclearable, which is keeping me from passing emissions.

It pulls up as
Trouble code 1 ; 65535 Code unknown

Which after some searching i came across that it is the Airbag control module.

Basically what i want to know is if anyone has any fixes besides pulling out the dash and replacing it?

Was this code pulled from VAG-COM?

No it was not.
i used eurodyne to scan/clear the cels.

If i do have to replace the module does anyone know anywhere there's any tutorials or tricks to removing the Climate control on a pre facelift?
I have a after market headunit but its single din.

If you use VAG-COM you may be able to get a more specific code, I'd think.

I had to replace the airbag module on my car when I deployed an airbag. You're not going to be able to get to it simply by removing the climate control, if that's what you're wondering. In fact it'll be easiest to remove the airbag module with the climate control in place. The radio can stay in its place too (unless you have to pull it to get the radio/climate control trim piece out).

What I'd suggest doing is removing the center console, the whole piece with the armrest included.

Ok so i scanned with vag com, and the airbag module pulled three codes.
But i was under the assumption 65535 was when the ecu stopped communicating with the airbag module.
When i scanned with vag com there was no such code.
Just these three below in the airbag module.

3 Faults Found:
00588 - Airbag Igniter: Driver Side (N95)
32-10 - Resistance too High - Intermittent

00654 -
Seat Belt Tensioner Igniter Driver Side (N153): Resistance too High ===

00532 - Supply Voltage B+: Signal too Low

I cleared them to see if they may come back.

SOunds like the plug under the seat may be the culprit.
