Default All done!

After a year of having my 2.8, I've finally fixed everything! Woohoo! Every mechanical issue is fixed. All fluids flushed and replaced with OEM spec. All missing trim, engine covers, etc. has been replaced. Car is aligned and the steering wheel straight. Silly stuff like slow retracting seatbelts, rattling glovebox and wobbly driver's seat fixed. Paint chips fixed. Everything set up just the way I want it via VAG-COM.

So I just steamcleaned the interior with a portable steamer (highly recommended for vinyl and plastic) and waxed the exterior. Time for a drive. I better enjoy this 100% mechanically operating and completely clean car while I can.

Not a very good phone camera, but the car looks decent for 150,780 miles. Did the timing belt and cam seals last month.

I call bullshit..... There's no hole in the driver's seat.

The driver's seat has a tear, but the vinyl streched over it. Nothing like a self-repairing seat!

im gonna need visual proof that no mil's are on. and probably a video to ensure there's no creaks or groans or unusal noises coming from the vehicle while running. while not impossible, it is highly unlikely for a b5 to be operating at peak efficiency that far into its life

hehe. It's not at peak efficiency but everything works as it's supposed to and every little piece of trim is there, even the battery cover that was previously long gone. Plus, I mostly managed to bang out the dents in the roof panel from the elm branch that landed on the car before I bought it.

After replacing the cam and cam tensioner seals, I'm tempted to Seafoam and add that extra bit of oomph but I envision oil puddles under the car.
