Default For all those who doubted...

Sorry, this isn't a thread about some crazy and difficult mod like a V12 TDI swap or an RS6 conversion. No this is about all who doubted my car being cursed lol. After running normally for the last few weeks, it took a turn for the worse last night. I drove to a park last night, the car running fine. When it was time to go, I fired up the car and and it was running shitty. It was shuddering, bucking, and the check engine light was flashing. Fluids are all topped off, gas tank has over a quarter tank in there, and it came out of nowhere.

The only issue I know of is the plugs. I bought NGK BKR6E's in copper, which means they need to be changed a lot more often. I had planned to change them last oil change, but forgot so I was waiting until the next one. Anyway, the car drove home sputtering, bucking and sounding like a subaru running headers. It was way underpowered. I didnt feel confident enough to go WOT, so I'm not certain if I'm in limp mode. I checked all the spark plug wires and all the intake hoses, everything is hooked up.

Anyway, what could cause my car to act like this? Its very violent. It gets much worse when I give the car some throttle. Finally, there's a slightly odd smell that I can't put my finger on. I'll pull codes tonight and check out the plugs then too. Thanks in advance! I was just about to sell the bitch too.

Your problem is quite simple. You don't have a 4.2 swap.

Vid? Hah I want to hear how it sounds... Knowing your luck, 3 coil packs and your coolant temp sensor failed, and your timing skipped a tooth.

I will kill you all.

I'm too angry at my car to work on it this afternoon, so I dedicated some time to an older project. Manual gearbox (24 gear), lightweight wheels, disc brakes, getting an overhaul and new paint...

Fault Codes:
Random Misfires All Cylinders
Misfires Cylinder 2
Random Misfires All Cylinders
Misfires Cylinder 2

Course of Action:
Change plugs
Start
If still misfiring, move #2 coil and scan.
Possible replace coilpack
Possible replace #2 injector (there is a LOT of unburnt gas smell, as if its just spraying wide open.)

Next car? Well that depends on how much money I make over the summer and how much I get for my car. I'd really like a pearl white S4. Either a B5 A4 or S4 with under or around 100k, or a 1990-1991 Coupe Quattro!

so either your injector is stuck on or, more likely, the spark is not working, so the plug and coil suggestions are the best IMO.
