Default Antenna location

Ok I have been looking on google for awhile and I can't find the answer, where is the antenna located on my 1996 audi a4, with the bose stereo? I think I have to replace it, but first I want to make sure it isn't jammed or anything if it is power. Thanks you!

Ok, gonna sound like an idiot, but what's a c pillar? Haha, also sometime it works and sometimes it doesn't, it usually doesn't could it be a loose wire or something? It seemed to work when I took out the rear seats and put them back in, then my friend sat back there and it stopped working. Thanks!

his head is probably stealing the reception. if it intermittently works check the radio connection to the antenna. check the brown lines on the back window see if they are broken at all. a c pillar is trim goes from the rear deck to the ceiling around the small window. hard to explain google. that

Yeah had already googled it thanks, and the guy installed sub woofers so he had to mess with the back of the head to get the remote wire back there, so there is a wire going from the wire cluster on the head to the antenna? and it is brown, unfortunately I have yet to buy a book for the car, do you have a wiring diagram by any chance?

can you snap a picture, this sounds horribly wrong. the antennal is a big black wire that isn't part of the harness it should be all on its own.

Oh sorry, that is there too, where does that go? I mean obviously it goes to the antenna, but what route does it take? Does it stay that large in diameter? sorry for all the questions, I just want to figure this out

If you are having reception issues is you rear defroster on? I had issues with that. Just quit using the rear defrost

I experienced this on both my sedan and avant, though its much worse on the avant. Not sure what that's about, since the avant has an actual antenna on the roof.
