So I been thinking about changing interior lights to LED's Dome light side door lights, reading lights the whole nine yards and while shopping for leds I thought about running about 10 feet of LED light strip along the ceiling of the car and hook it up to the back reading lights so when you open doors your ceiling lights up white or any other color you pick. You guys getting the picture? Something like this but around the ceiling of your car??? Like some limps have inside their cars. What you guys think?

I like the idea of changing the dome and reading lights out with LEDs but I think running an LED strip on the top would be a bit much.. IMO too.."limo-ish"

Yeah if you search for "LED interior lights" or somethin there's at least one thread on it. I wanna swap out my interior lights too but i'm gonna go with the xenon bulbs like osin34 did in his. The kit he bought comes with all the interior lights as well as license plate bulbs too. Look sweet

I agree that the LED rope lights might look a bit limoish, but I like the look you're goin for. the stock halogen interior lights are so lame lookin.

Interior kits are way to expensive these days...
I went to Radio Shack and bought 6 LED's with 28,500 Lml that use 4v. I know that car has 12v so im going to have to build something to switch voltage to 5v or connect 3 at the same time or something lol. Ether way these LED's produce MUCH MORE light that any KIT that you will buy. These are Super Bright and has wide angle view.
10mm bulbs 4v max

There are also Black Light led strips which would be really nice I think in the ceiling. I need to find a cheap place to buy strips by foot or something.
