Default Anybody cut off their resonator??

I have a 2000 A4 2.8 with a flowmaster 40 series muffler and a k&n drop in filter. It sounds pretty good on the inside but i would like it louder of course. Is cutting off the resonator a good idea or not? Maybe if i had it cut off but had it fabricated by somebody that it could be put back into place if i had too. Any advice from somebody who is running a non resinated exhaust?
Thanks guys.

All I know is that I cut mine out and it's too loud in the cabin and almost too loud on the outside. Sounds great though driving by but the loud drone inside just is not worth it...

Its deep sounding, especially at idle. But im thinking of taking out the resonator someday though. I just dont want it to annoy my wife especially since we drive from San Diego to Portland every winter. Oh well, Its my car!!!

Don't remove resonator....you will prob regret it, way too loud. But if you like your Audi sounding like an american car....=/

my resonator is deleted.

all i have to say is i'm thankful my car is not a daily driver, or else it'd probably be damn annoying

Just get a smaller, lighter, freeflowing aftermarket resonator.

Bad idea, it will sound like poop. Better off saving for a full exhaust or just swapping out the muffler.
