the second link would be fine, thats just a generic copy of a forge. i have one just like it on the car now and has been running fine for a year. you just have to take it apart once every 12-18 months and clean and grease it. not a big deal.

the first one may or may not be good, its hard to tell how its constructed from those pictures. im sure it would be better then the plastic one that comes stock.

i just put the second one on my car about a month and a half ago and it is way better than the stock... lil bit quieter than the stock which i wasnt looking forward to but there were some very subtle but noticable performance gains in throttle response so it isnt that bad just make sure you have all the right tools to do the job or otherwise it is a total p.i.t.a

I use a Autobahn88 forge replica and it works great and the dump sound is amazing compared to the stock dv.
Bought it from a Finnish site: http://www.inmotiontuning.fi
All the autobahn88 products I've seen so far are great quality.

alright I got the new DV installed, and took er for a spin... the boost seems to build quicker but it still only reaches about 8 lbs. so it seems the DV is working well and doing its thing better than the stock one for sure.. now the bad news.. still not seeing 15psi like im told i should be seeing with the speedtuning chip

I've already checked for boost leaks, there didnt appear to be any, i could pump the system up to 20psi and it would slowly leak down through the crankcase, but there were no leaks from the intercooler or piping anywhere

An OE TT 225 dv is like 50 bucks and is all you need. You don't need a Forge and you definitely don't want a random Ebay dv.

I know this thread is old but has anyone on here figured out their boost probs? I have had the same issues and also have a speedtuning chip in my 97. I have swapped out everything including the n75, dv, turbo and any hoses that may look old. I also pressure checked system with a smoke machine and have no leaks whatsoever and still only getting about 5-6 lbs boost. I do not get any CEL or codes so I have reason to believe it is not in "limp mode". Anyone have any info on this?
thanks
