Default anything special to changing a wheel bearing yourself?

Pretty positive the rear pass. wheel bearing is no good so are there any tricks/tips to doing it yourself? I have access to a lift/tools etc but will I need to have it pressed by a shop?
Any advice is appreciated!

Easiest way will be to remove the spindle and have it pressed in/out by a shop. I've heard of people doing it with the spindle attached to the car using some kind of weird tool that bolts to the hub, but it just sounds like too much BS to me. Any garage or machine shop should be able to do it for you in a few minutes for like $20

Hub & bearing pullers are the way to go. No need to remove the whole spindle. You did say you had access to a shop with tools!

Ok what exactly would be needed to press the bearing in if I take the spindle off because its a friends dad's machine shop ill be doing the work at. I'm not sure if I want to pay $75 for a bearing and $40 for a tool to put it in if its simple to take the spindle off & press it myself for free. I suppose could see if autozone rents out those bearing tools though.
I've never done a bearing on my own so im just trying to get as much info as I can thanks!

Personally , unless you a real good wrench with experience doing wheel bearings , it probably would be a good idea to have a professional do it.

Might just save you a lot of aggravation.

One thing to keep in mind. The rear bearings will fail almost simultaneously. Might as well do both at once because you'll be doing the second within 2-3k miles.
