im curious about APR does anyone sware by it? can i get some info on there stuff.. a friend of mine in school just told me about them (so i know nothing about APR).. im just curious about there products for my 2000.5 Audi A4 Quattro do they "stretch the truth" about there performance they add with there parts? ive heard of alot of places charging out the *** for what they say are 20-30 hp when its only 10.. so im just curious.. this is going to be the lay it all out input thread for APR.. thanks guys

I'm sure every aftermarket parts seller "stretches the truth" about their products to some extent. Are you referring more to the chip tuning APR does or actual physical parts?

Funny you bring this up... I just got confirmation and my letter today for discounts to APR! I like their chip, sucks that only stage 1 for AEB motor is 91 oct. only cuz we carry 93 around here not 91, but most of their stuff is real nice, the only thing to stay away from is the air intake known as cabrino or something like that, its $300 and something you could do for about $25-50 yourself!

yea i figured the intake was a bit much.. and i agree wtf is with everyone and this 91 oct.. i havent seen 91 in like what 5 yrs lol.. i run 93 in my now.. but hows the chip? is it good?.. and how do i know what chip i need? or that will work on my car.. im a lil confused on that one.. and im just curious about everything from them.. like i said spill it let it all out everything you know about APR id like to keep it to info for the B5 but ill take all input about them.. cuz there prices arent really outragious on most things.. im just looking at modding options for my B5.. now that i got mine running right lol im itching to get some mods done lol

The best way to make sure you get the right software is to contact the vendor directly, give them all the info about your car that you can including any current/future mods, year, engine code, and VIN#. They'll take care of you.

As for info about other parts they offer, I dunno much about them. I've heard the APR snub mount is a bit stiff and transmits too much vibration for a DD. I plan on buying a TIP and TB hose from them in the not-too-distant future. I also think the FMIC they offer on ECS tuning is overpriced. Thats about all the info you're gettin outta me lol

chris ironic you say that about ecs and their kits are on sale now about $300 off!

If you're stock you just need a stage 1 tune. you can get other features like valet or theft deterrent if you want with that tune at extra cost. not sure if you knew but here is their site for the B5 http://www.goapr.com/products/?vehicle=A4_B5
Their DV is a popular one, there are cheaper ones on the market tho.

Speaking of sales, I believe they also offer discounts to people who buy their Stg1 chip, then add supporting mods and upgrade to stg2 later.
