Exclamation Apr tune

I went to a local APR dealer yesterday. After driving for about 30 miles, I noticed my check engine light came on. Has any one on here experienced this problem after getting tuned? Is there a warranty on the software? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

I would definitely take it back to them and have them check it over. Might not be related, but I wouldn't take the chance.

Stock DV took a dump? Would that trigger a CEL?

Pretty sure you have to warranty everything you do in your shop if you are certified to tune with APR software. Take it back to them immediately.

Stage 1 tune.

Thanks guys. I'm at work and unfortunately I can't leave to go to the shop. I called and explained my situation to them. And was put on "hold" for 20 minutes. I finally hung up and called back and of course, they didn't answer. I have never had the check engine light come on untill I did this.

Murdox- I was wondering the same thing. I'm not sure if that would trigger a cell or not.

APR tune would not cause a CEL unless it was souldered in, its a very delicate operation and can go BAD, not usually but it happens, i know from experience

Op, did you replace the stock dv when you got the tune? If you didn't, I would replace it in the near future. Someone on here told me once that the stock dv failed the same day he got a stage 1 tune. Replace it regardless if its the culprit.

Is the car boosting corectly? Jerky motion at all? If you don't have a boost gauge id get one of those too. Stage one boosts to ~19 psi then tapers from there ( when you floor it at least )

Try to get it scanned to see if it pulls any codes? Maybe you popped a boost leak somewhere with all the extra psi running through the car.

Could also be a misfire... When chipped it's common to go to a "colder" heat range spark plug with a gap of 0.028" instead of the stock 0.032" gap.

So I opend my hood prior to taking it to the dealer where I got it tuned, I realized a check valve needed to be replaced. I replaced one of the valves and the check engine light went off the next day.
