are you guys saying that if i have the pre facelift model with the 2-piece headlights, i could just trim the fender and the plugs will working without any modifications? i really like those headlights

 

They are designed to work in prefacelift without trimming the fender. Though the way they're wired from the factory is to have the LEDs turn on with the fog light switch (when used with prefacelift). And the set I got, the turn signal setup on the headlights was not compatible with the turn signal setup on my car - it required extra wiring (modifications) to make them work.

 

since you have a silver audi just like me, could you please post some pictures of the lights. daylight with LED on, and some at night etc.

 

Never really got any pics at night... Got a few during the day when I installed them though, but not with the LEDs on. You'll notice in the pics I even went as far as getting silver turn signal bulbs to get rid of that less desirable look the amber bulbs give.

Honestly, I would say don't waste your money on them. I spent something like $230 on mine and in the end they went in the trash. Pieces of garbage IMO. The LEDs were not really visible during the day, and still weren't as bright at night as I wanted.

The projectors in these headlights aren't very good (again, IMO) and use non-standard H1 bulbs. The turn signal bulbs won't match up with your car's factory wiring. You'd have to rewire the LEDs if you don't want them to turn on as fog lights.

As my signature shows I went back to basic 2-piece Depo headlights, although the projectors in them aren't original . One of these days I'll snap some pics of my modified aftermarket fog light grilles that have LEDs in them, like the A6.

 

yeah, i like the way they look but the fact that they are H1 and not H7 bulbs kinda turned me away. btw i got LEDs in my bumper grilles too but i want to order http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMEWAX%3AIT and maybe get 3000k HID in them but i dont know if that would blind people or not..

 

Those are the aftermarket fog light grilles I got, and put LEDs in. HID in them WILL blind people, I had HID in mine before but took them out in favor of LED H3 bulbs (they match the other LEDs in the grilles...).

 

but 3000k is yellow and isnt as bright. would that still blind people?

 

It would be almost as bad as putting 3000K in your high beams and driving around with those on all the time.
