Default Audi a4 taking a lot of cranking to start

My 98 Audi A4 1.8T is taking along time to start now. Has a great new battery, and it seems to be getting worse everytime I start it regardless of if the engine is hot or cold. It sometimes takes up to 10 seconds off turning the key continuously before it will fire up. Im really confused

my coolant temp sensor was bad and my guage read fine. Car started every time sometime it took 10 seconds sometimes it took 30 sometimes it took 3 seconds. Also when starting if you hold the pedal to the floor it shuts off the injectors and your car will start. The coolant temp sensor cause the car to try to start rich as a ****.

Sweet ill replace it, it's $10 and easy to replace (as easy as sometime for an Audi can be to replace anyways)

ha make sure you pull the old o ring out and don't have two shoved in there. New o-ring and new clip also.

I'm on autozone.com and the temp. Coolant sensor they have has a round connector, on the directions I am looking at its a square connector. They offer a square one for my car but it's just a temp sensor. Which one do I need?

Is the coolant sensor under the coolant expansion chamber or on the engine?
