Thumbs up Audi DIY DVD

Hey guys, been a member for about a year now. I work in entertainment for a video production house. I have been pondering the idea of making DIY DVD's for all the maintenance for our B5's. Including timing belt, brakes, control arms, and soon a engine build, that would include rod upgrades, etc..... I just want to see if you guys would have interest in a product like this. DVD's would go for arounf 20-30$, and would include multiple DIY's. Thought?

I don't think there is much of a need for that since all those things are covered pretty well on the site. Our DIY section isn't up to par, but all those things can be found by searching for someone elses DIY experience in a previous thread. Cool idea though. I bet you could sell a some, but I doub't youd get rich from it

As much as I like video. I think label'd pictures and text, work better for DIY because with video you'll have to rewind it to see certain parts.

True true, was not plan on getting rich on it. I already am rich! JK. Just wanted to see if I could make some side money and see if there was any interest out there.
Thanks

In most cases I prefer free guides online (such as the DIY guides here or on other sites). Even AWE tuning has free guides (pdf's) that show you how to install the catback exhaust, etc. on an A4.

You guys could try to make the DVD's and I'm sure a few people would buy them but most people on these forums know where to look / ask for guides or help.

You would also need to drag your dvd player into the garage or driveway to watch...rewind, watch, repeat as necessary. It's a novel idea, but as mentioned, most DIY's online are good enough (and free). If all else fails, spend the $20 or $30 bucks towards a Bentley Manual.

The problem with the DIY crowd as a market is that we're inherently cheap. I think people would watch them, but probably not pay for them.
