I got this letter from Audi of America telling me that they'll pay me back if i fet it fixed, as long as i have proof that i got it done, and a form for reimbursement. has anybody else gotten that letter? i'm courius about that.

for this to be true, do u have to be the original owner?

 

My guess is, as long as you were the one who paid for the service (whether you own the car or not), you can be reimbursed. Of course you'll need the documentation to prove it.

The next day i was not eligable. Go me.

 

I got my letter last week. The original owner of my 1.8T has allways used synthetic, and I have followed in the same tracks, so think I'm okay as far as sludge goes (have 108K now). I'm just going to affix the pretty little sticker they sent me and call it good.

 

why they excluding the 2001. I've had the oil pick up replaced twice now from oil sludge.
