Audi Static Problem

Audi Static Problem
Hey guys..
I have a little problem in relation to the audio system..
I recently had the radio system changed to an aftermarket radio (Pioneer Iphone/ipod radio)..
The problem is that now there is a little bite of static noise in the background, even when the volume is at Zero (and the static doesn't changed in relation to my acceleration)..
I went to futureshop today, and they told me that the boss amplifier wasn't designed to run with aftermarket radios and he told me that I needed to changed the amplifier and rewire the system for around 500$ ...
I was like OMG... I've already got enough expenses including getting both rear bearings changed, turbo leak, mirror leak, front grille changed and driver's door nonalignment, and much more..
So I really can't afford a new amplifier plus installation right now..
I've read a lot of people mentioning a Static filter; I told the futureshop guy when he was checking my car, and he told me that he had never heard of that before (I wonder why huh..).
Do any of you guys have pointers...
My cas is a 99.5 audi a4 1.8t.
Thx for everything!!

Good News!
I went to bestbuy (Futureshop's brother).. and turns out there is a filter for my problem!
He even showed me the product, and told me they could do it for a reasonable price..
I took a rendez-vous with them for nx week.. I'll keep u updated on that...
As for putting back my old radio.. I dough since it has a cassette player only (Audi Cassette Concert something).. which looks extremely outdated now-en-days.. with an aftermarket radio.. it look's slick with the proper facerplate.. and much younger!!
