Have you actually looked to see if its coming on? You should be able to hear it if you let it idle in the driveway with the door open.

I'm pretty sure the fuse in in the aux fuse box under the hood under the cowling cover.

Hi everyone... I'm new to the forum, and i'm new to audis... But my new (to me) audi is driving me bananas.

I'm having this same overheat problem. The car is fine all day while it's driving, but if i get stuck in stop/go traffice on a hot day i'm screwed adn the water temp will rise until i get moving again.

What do you guys think? temperature sensor/switch? water pump? the AC still blows cold... and infact, when i turn the AC off the temp will usually settle down a bit.

any help is appreciated.

thakns.

fan, fan switch, fan relay, partial blockage in radiator or elsewhere in the cooling "circuit"

Nope, that wouldn't be a thermostat problem. It's either fan-related or a partial blockage in the cooling loop.
