just curious if there are any other issues in an avant that you wont find in the sedan? im prolly picking one up here in a week or 2.. its a 98 30v 2.8 quattro 5 speed... has 110k and belts were done at 90k... (along with tensioner and pump and brakes)

so other than that... should i be concerned with anything else?

I've got much love for the Avant

I've had mine for a month today, and haven't noticed any issues specific to the Avant that you wouldn't run into with a similarly equipped sedan. I think you'll be very happy

 

Yeah Ive had mine for about 4 mounths now, and Im loving it. 1999 A4 Avant with 130K still runnning strong.

i want my 2 piece just to **** you all off hahaha.... besides this is the lowest mileage one i found for a good price... all the other ones i found were either auto, fwd, had a ton of miles or they wanted close to 10k... this is lower miles quattro, 5 speed, black, only 6k and belts were recently done... lol

 

not that i know of i havent read anything about the avants having more issues the only thing differnt is the body and the stero system has a sub and amp in the back thats all i know of

 

is the gearing and everything set up the same in the manual quattro? i heard some companies gear the car differently in their wagons or avants to accomodate a more family type ride

and why dont you update your sig so we can all see the a8 lol

 

No more issues than with a sedan no, besides costing more to tint the windows.
