Hey yall, I have an 01 Avant 2.8 and recently blew my back tire on the highway. The thing actually shredded and blew my bumper cover partially off (wicked **** right?) Well here is my question will a bumper cover from a sedan fit the avant? It seems like the kind of thing a manufacturer would do but I haven't been able to find any definite answers. I am heading to the junkyard on saturday and am hoping to find a good one in that rare silver color that they never put on Audis. Thanks in advance for your help.

Have you ever tried?, looking online they look the same and there are sellers on ebay that say they are compatible. I am hoping someone here has done this before because if the mounting is different i will be stuck with an extra cover but I also know not to just trust what people on ebay say. You can try but the part numbers are different for a reason

 

I hear ya, it was kind of wishful thinking. The Avant is hard to find in my local yards and the only one I came across was hit in the rear. I had my hopes up when I saw that ebay put them as interchangeable but I didn't think to check parts numbers. Even though they look similar I'm sure there is some differences .
