I purchased an ebay SS and I'm looking for the infamous B&M install instructions. I have searched all over but, all of the links to PDF scans are broken. (thanks a lot megaupload, rapidshare, etc.)

Ive seen the videos for the JHM shifter and the stratmosphere instructions on audiworld but, they're not quite the same.

Does anyone have a copy or link to the B&M instructions?

I have a paper copy of them laying around someplace, but odds are that won't help you. I can't seem to find any of the links online either. If I can dig up the paper copy I have, I'll scan it for ya.

It looks like there are several "types" of eBay shifters. Mine doesn't match up with the stratmosphere or jhm so... I THINK that just leaves the b&m...

I know I have the .PDF for the B&M kit on my work PC. Worked good for my eBay kit. I'll email it to you tomorrow as I'm hanging at Foxwoods with the wife

 

Just installed the ebay ss kit in my '98 b5 last night. Search all over for the B&M instructions with no luck. Had an idea of how to install by looking at instructions from other ss kits.

Since I have a pre-facelift model it would have required removal of the center console. Didn't have much time so did it w/o removing, which I was then only able to replace the shifter itself. I'll replace the bushings another time.

Wasn't sure of the ss setting so used the middle hole. The B&M instructions would have been nice to have and I would still be interested in a copy for future reference if anybody has one to share.

Definitely made a huge difference from stock and very happy with it. Also like using reverse w/o having to push down on stick.

Awesome. Thanks for yhr holp guys. I installed the shifter last night. It works great! I set it on the bottom hole. According to the instructions, this reduces shift movement by %33.

Man, I guess with a 6speed, you don't use the metal ball you reuse the plastic that came with the stock shifter. It was a lifesaver for me.
