Default b5 audi a4 1.8t low rpm problem?!?

ok so ive had this problem for a while now, the car runs fine when in the higher rpms but lets say im in 3rd and im at about 2k rpms when i floor the car or just give it alot of gas it like jolts and i have to let off the gas and then its fine, this isn't all the time but alot of the times like the other day i was on the highway in 5th and i gave it some gas and it jolted really quick again its almost like my engine just stops for a quick second.

i have a boost gauge its not a leak im running about 15lbs and peaking at about 17 and my vac is 15hg at idle and about 23-25hg while driving

PLEASE HELP IVE HAD THIS PROBLEM FOREVER!!

check the plugs and coils to make sure they are good, sounds like it could be a spark issue and has some hesitation.

Most likely a coil pack, but could be a spark plug. Get scanned, even if you don't have a CEL on. It will probably tell you misfire on X cylinder. Swap the coil pack to a different cylinder, and the spark plug to a different (not the same as where you put the coil pack). Drive it for a day and try to get the problem repeat a couple times. Then scan again. If the misfire moves to the cylinder you moved the coil pack or spark plug to, you've figured out what the problem is. Replace, drive, be happy...

coil and coil pack is the same thing. the 1.8T is a coil on plug, so you have a coil for every cylinder. stock coils are fine, just need to be replaced after a lot of mileage when having misfires.

I know in lower gears like first particularly its normal for the car to be skittery when applying the gas harshly. For example, you're engine braking at 2600 in second and you apply the gas suddenly and the car seems to jump back into gear. You can visually see the shifter move. This is normal I believe.

You don't need VAG COM to figure out this particular problem. Just go to the local Autozone or whatnot and have them scan your codes. Then follow the steps I mentioned above, verify, replace, drive happy!
If you find a cheap coil pack for the AEB engine, let me know. They're not the same as the cheaper coil packs you'll find online...

my vac is 15hg at idle
that is about 1/4 too low. check your vac lines, especially the ones going to the FPR and DV.

i doubt its a coil or else you would have a constant misfire and flashing CEL. i would get your codes scanned still. and you didnt mention if this is auto or manual or what year the car is. what plugs are you running and what gap are they set at? are you using premium fuel?
