b5 key fob programming
ok, so lets try this again,
i have a 97 b5 2.8. a friend of mine totalled his 2000 jetta and gave me his two key fobs. i purchased a blank key and put it on one of the fobs. now my first question is, where can i get the key copied? second question, will i be able to program the two vw fobs to my audi? and third, i also have the fob for an 08 rs4. would that fob be compatible? and lastly, how should i go about programming them to my a4, assuming one or all of them are compatible? i do have access to a vag com.....

Access to a VAG-COM is not required, but you do need at least 2 remotes to complete the procedure if you don't have a VAG-COM. However I'm pretty sure none of the key fobs you mentioned can be matched to your car. There are specific part numbers required for some model years. I think 2000 and newer are different from 99 and earlier.
As for getting the keys copied, any dealer can do it pretty fast.
