Default b5 show off thread

Hey guys I'm new to the forum. I am in the process of getting a a4 as a DD/autox car. I'm not 100% which model (b5 or b6) I want, but it looks like I might trade for a 98 b5 this weekend....seeing how the b6 have a official show off thread I figured it would be a good idea and started one for the b5 (I searched and didn't find one...if there is one just call me a dumbass and we will call it a day lol)

Let the car **** begin!!!!!

I think I'm leaning more towards the b5. I like the front end of the b5 and the tail lights of the b6. I am hopefully going to be trading this weekend for a b5. Then starts the build for a decent track/autox car

Make sure you know what you want out of your car before you pick up a '98 2.8. That model is a 30 valve and "slow." The 2.8 engine in general is more reliable than a 1.8T because there's no turbo, but if you want to go fast, get a 1.8T.

+1 on the B5

Keep in mind, five guys (including myself) who have responded so far either have or have had the 2.8 engine

EDIT: '98 is a 30 Valve not a 12 Valve
