i got a deal this weekend where i live there are selling this 01 silver TT 225 they are asking $12,000 and i had my b5 for almost six months and i think is time for an upgrade lol.

But i really dont know much about tt's are they different than the B5 engine wise or is it just the K04. Is it worth selling my 99.5 B5 5 speed for a TT.

any advice is welcomed.

 

I sold a 01 1.8TT w/40k miles on it for $10500 to buy my 01 1.8 avant. Is the TT a quattro? How many miles? The avant (or a B5 sedan) does not hold a candle to the TT as far as pure style and excitement IMO. They are 2 different cars, meant for different things. The TT holds 2 people, and thats it, unless your are 5 years old, then you may be able to fit in the back. The TT is faster stock than a B5 stock, but the quattro is not as effective IMO, fwd drive until there is slippage. I miss the TT but in the end it was just too small.

 

the tt has about 92,XXX so is not that bad for that year and i know there is hardly space for 4 people lol but still they look sweet

 

doesn't the TT have a haldex quattro which is a fwd version of quattro untill the wheels start to slip? i don't think that TT is worth 12k unless you live in like cali or something. i wouldn't really consider the TT an upgrade but it does catch the ladies attention. i'd find a S4 for that price

 

well over here in texas they start from $9-13 for the early models lile 00-01, something newer goes for $14-16 02-04 so idk and yea an S4 are from $8-13 but i keep hearing that they are a bitch to work on, harder than the A4 but yea the S4 are sweet to.

 

yea go for an S4 for that price.... and i think we started it now. josh will be here soon like S4 What Huh?

sounds like your mind is made up. go ahead and get it if you want it. the TT is a very good looking car but personally the power and look combo of the S4 outweighs the TT

it depends on how you see it.

AF guys and other tuners who know audis will def turn heads lookin at a s4.

but people who dont know alot about cars (especially the ladies) will turn heads more with the tt
