Wow, reminds me of the time my friend thought is F350 with dual smoke stacks was fast. in my 2.8 I beat him off the block and was about 7 sec faster than he was, in terms of my old town, i was almost a block ahead of him. he asked me how much HP I had, I replied, only 190HP, he was, man I should have smoked you. I told him where he went wrong. I said, 1: you might have had me by 50HP, but my car is a 5spd, yours is an Automatic. 2: i have roughly the same amount of torque you do(240, the 2.8 had about 210) but I have AWD, and most of my torque is at 3500RPM's. 3: I weight less than you do, I would have had you at my top end, even if you did manage to pull ahead of me. 4: your last problem, it is a FORD, not an AUDI. Case to be made, Sure, it's a sedan, not some 2door JDM tuner who thinks HP is the only thing that matters, Style, Class, Rugged engine built to drive until it runs out of road, and still keep going, the sound of power, not rice filling up the heads, and spitting out FAIL, Its a mother F*cking AUDI, Come rain, Snow, Sand, Mud and Gravel, nothing beats the supreme drivability of a Quattro. Snow? I'm sorry you got stuck, would you like me to pull you out? Gravel, sorry you didn't grow up driving dirt roads like I did, but It made me a better driver than you. Also, along the lines of mud, Audi's can look really sexy when mud wrestling. My Fraternity brother Jeb bet me I would get stuck going out on a sand bar, I told him, I hope your willing to wash my car when i can drive through all those sand dunes.

I can't wait to see what my 2.5TDI does this winter. It's snowing finally in Germany, A lot of people with Beamers are going to be asking me for rides when their car can't make it out of the barracks parking lot.

Yea. Audi quattro is badass but there is a downside. How about the sub par gas mileage from the Awd (any Awd system tbh). Also, since the quattro turns all four wheels all the time instead of just when one slips like some other makes... Quattro goes through tires faster.

Not knocking it by any means, id rather the Awd and get 4 less mpg and buy tires more often and be safe in all weather conditons. I live in New England, rwd is almost foolish.

 

Haha, thanks man. People told me I was dumb for buying an Audi, well, they are dumb for not buying a European car.

As for the AWD system, tires are part of the game. However i disagree with the MPG, i get roughly 30+ Urban/City driving, and over 40HWY(extra Urban). It's a diesel though. also, after adding LPG(propane injection) i should see gains of said 5MPG or more after the turbo hits 4psi of boost. And from some reports, almost 100HP gains.
