From what i have been told, the max on a a k03 is around 20psi while maintaining efficiency and you will not get that from just a manual boost controller, you need a tune which will more than likely bring the car to around 15 psi then the mbc to add a few extra. Not to mention you need supporting mods to safely run that amount of boost.
As for the injectors, I have also been told that you don't need bigger injectors unless more air is coming in (turbo upgrade) in your case there is no increase of air so don't be putting in bigger injectors.

Yeah they are pretty expensive, as for ebay I got my hybrid dv/bov from their at $100 (like the forge splitter) but this is a hybrid, if your after just a DV OEM / Performance Parts for Audi, BMW, Mercedes Benz, Mini, Porsche & Volkswagen - ECS Tuning
the 710n is a nice upgrade from stock at esc for $45
I think no matter where, ebay or anywhere else your looking at at least $100

Yes it did produce a nice and clear blow of when set correctly. Up until recently when I put in a fmic and the car kinda went to **** but most of this is fixed now, the car is fluttering now, minor modification and will produce a normal blow off. Read the thread "The FMIC Is In"
if you do go with a hybrid, you will need to get an open air filter style set up as I've heard that the factory airbox muffles the blow off. (Someone correct me if i'm wrong)

Yeah some are, some are not, usually all the the hybrids are adjustable but if your not going with the open air filter set up, then just purchase the 710N, it will be fine with the tune.
