Talking Battle of the Boost Gauges!

Ok, so its not really that exciting. I just want some opinions on what gauge to get. I just got my paycheck and I need a gauge. So in one corner we have the classic VDO Vision!

and in the other is the Auto Meter Auto Gage!

Now I know the VDO will match the interior better. I like that. But its kinda boring looking. I don't have the money for some DEFI Red Racer (drool) but if you have any budget minded suggestions I don't really want to go over $70. I do want it to go at least to 20psi and I do want it to match fairly well.

Planning on a vent mount.

everybody puts in vdo. personally i put mine in the drivers side vent. imo looks better, passenger cant see it, and its easier to install, especially in yours since its a 98 and you cant tap into the adjuster dial wires for power

Cool, yeah I was planning on that. I don't have A-Pillar airbags so if I decide I want excessive gauges I'll probably throw a pillar pod on. But I don't want to go there yet

The best part of this whole thread is that your avatar goes perfect with the title of your thread.

I have 2 used Autometer gauges sitting in the garage. A phantom white face) and a Pro-comp (silver face).

Sorry Mike, I really would rather have a black face to match the stock cluster.
I think I'm going VDO.

Well at this time I run a Stewart Warner gauge in my car. It comes in a black face and 42DD sells them.

GlowShift makes affordable guages, they look nice too.

You can get them at glowshiftdirect.com, but they also have a store on ebay and you can get them for way cheaper. I got that exact gauge for $38 shipped. They also sell packages on ebay for around $90, you get to chose 3 gauges of your choice (boost, air fuel, oil press etc..)

Yeah, I like how its blank when off but it's super flashy and will stick out really bad at night.
