I have a 99 a4 will the s4 stock cAlipers fit my car. The calipers are of a 2000 s4 wht is the diffrence between the 99 and 99.5 I looked it up I can't tell the difference .

No the front calipers will not fit. The rear calipers will though. You can do the A8/TT brake upgrade in the front. Basically you use TT carriers and A8 rotors. PureMS has a nice kit to simplify it - http://www.purems.com/products/product.php/II=810
The differences in the 99 and 99.5 are mostly cosmetic. Door handles, rear tail lights, something else no one cares about. |
that PureMS kit is wicked over priced. Try ECS. They have blank, slotted, and drilled/slotted options.
|
the front will fit if you used an adapter though. like CCA4 said, that purems kit is pretty expensive.
bacon where have you been? |
I've been really busy at work. Luckily all the snow in the East has given me a few snow days.
|
hey guys why wont the 99.5 calipers fit would we haft to take the front arms off the 99.5 or somthing to get them to fit?
|
No differences between the drivetrain for 99-99.5. The parts are the same.
|
i don't think its an issue of what year the calipers came from, but A4 vs. S4. IIRC the stock S4 front calipers/rotors are significantly bigger than that of the A4
