No the front calipers will not fit. The rear calipers will though. You can do the A8/TT brake upgrade in the front. Basically you use TT carriers and A8 rotors. PureMS has a nice kit to simplify it - http://www.purems.com/products/product.php/II=810

The differences in the 99 and 99.5 are mostly cosmetic. Door handles, rear tail lights, something else no one cares about.

that PureMS kit is wicked over priced. Try ECS. They have blank, slotted, and drilled/slotted options.

the front will fit if you used an adapter though. like CCA4 said, that purems kit is pretty expensive.

I've been really busy at work. Luckily all the snow in the East has given me a few snow days.

No differences between the drivetrain for 99-99.5. The parts are the same.

i don't think its an issue of what year the calipers came from, but A4 vs. S4. IIRC the stock S4 front calipers/rotors are significantly bigger than that of the A4
