I have a a4 b5 2001 and i was going to purchase a B&M short shifter kit for it but i have a problem. i dont know wether i should purchase the straight or bent rod. any suggestions on how to find out???

I'm not much more experienced than you so take this with a grain of salt, but I actually looked into that subject a little and the general concensus is that they came with both, but they're not interchangable. So lift up the boot and see whats in there now and go with that. Good luck and welcome to the forums!

 

ok. how should i lift up the boot though? does it just slip off?
