neat tricks i did not know of at first:

-middle sun visor thingy
-motion sensors
-gas cap fits on fuel door
-floor lights up corresponding to open door
-keyfob can open and close windows from outside the car

How does the gas cap fit on the fuel door?I know some cars have this and i tried to do it on my b6 and there is no place to put it.

Also how does the keyfob open and close windows from outside the car???
If you take the gas cap off look at it and there are two cut outs, line those up and place on top of the fuel door and the slide right in and it just chills there while you fill up. as for the Keyfob doing the window thing, here is how you do that.http://www.a4mods.com/index.php?page...tewindows.html you need Vag-Com

Pop top on the sunroof. I had my car about 2 years before I foud out that you could push on the dial to get it to pop up.
HAHA me too i saw another B7 driving down the road and was like what thats Awsome!! I couldnt find out how to do it so i just figured that since the B7 was a S-line i wouldnt be able to do it but i finally figured it out LOL.
I have a B6 2003 1.8T with a sunroof.. and I still don't see what you guys are pushing on? The actual dial? Help me![>:]

I don't know how it is for the B6, but for the B5... When you have the dial in the closed position you press up on the side towards the back of the car. You can see there is a slight hook on it to pull it down when you want to bring it back down. You can just press it once to go up or down, you don't have to hold it. And if you have the sunroof open you can turn the dial all the way around to closed and press up on it while it's still closing and it will pop open after closing.

Exactly what Kextyn said. I have the same as you, 2003 1.8T. The sunroof dial that you turn is what they are talking about pushing up on. As if you were going to turn that dial to open your sunroof, just push the end of it up or down. If it gets too confusing I don't mind showing a picture. This however should be in your manual.

Do you guys read your manuals? I'm pretty sure most of this stuff is in there except for the hidden things like radio equalizer, climate control diagnostics, and remote windows.

I do have one question though. Does anyone have mirrors that can be automatically folded in? I test drove a Passat 4Motion before getting my A4 and you could turn the selector **** all the way around and it would fold them in. Maybe there's some other way to do it? Or does VW actually have a feature that wasn't available on an Audi?
I'm cracking up here from reading all of these. I'm pretty **** I guess... I've actually just bought an 01 allroad and I can tell I already know more about the bells and whistles than the owner. It actually has the fold in mirrors and I was curious if all A6's have this or they just did it for the allroads. I wonder if I can change a setting so they fold in every time I turn off the ignition. That would be slick. Prob not smart in the wintertime with ice.

Someone mentioned turning their headlightsquirters? How do you get the squirter to stay up long enough to do so? I was trying to fix the headlight washers on my wife's 03 A4 and they're a real bitch to pull up!

Edit: Though on my second test drive on the allroad yesterday I didn't know there were tip controls in the steering wheel. That made my day. I thought they were just volume controls. I still have a whoooole lot to learn.

b5's (not sure about others) have secret on-board diagnosticsthat display on the A/C screenwith different temperature sensor readings around the car, speed in km/h, engine speed, airflowand others

to see it hold the recirculation button then press the + button
then press the +/- buttons to choose a code number, and hit recirculation to select it

simple.
1. turn headlights on
2. hold window washer sprayer for 2 seconds and they will pop up and clean lights. keep holding for a longer spray.
