Default Bilstein HD on stock springs

Hey folks, I'm getting tired of the H&R coilovers. I'm thinking of getting the Bilstein HD's but use them on the stock springs. Does anyone know if there is any drop in height with this setup? As you guys know, the completely stock setup has a horrendous amount of wheel gap. Right now, with the coilovers setup at the highest setting, we get about a 1.5 inch drop.

Does anyone know if the Bilsteins with stock springs have any drop in height?

We put bilstein HD's on my dad's b7 with stock springs and it actually raised the car a little.

Food for thought

That's not necessarily true. BMWs drop with Bilsteins and stock springs. B7 above actually raised.

then the perches are being moved to position the spring which again, gives you height.

Bilstein sport shocks are shorter than Bilstein HD shocks by about 0.5 inches. As far as I know Bilstein HD shocks are the same length as stock.

The spring is just part of the equation. If you have a shorter shock, then the car still drops regardless of the spring force.
