Default Blauparts FTW!

Hey I know there's threads all over the place about timing belts and related subjects, but I figured I'd post this anyway. I just got my TB kit in the mail from Blauparts, and I'm really impressed. For $230 shipped I got this:

Name: IMGP1524.jpg
Views: 27
Size: 137.3 KB

Name: IMGP1525.jpg
Views: 27
Size: 151.9 KB

I got the whole shabang. I also ordered the serpentine tensioner/pully assemlby and they threw in a free serpentine belt. If you need a TB job, thats the place to get the parts. Also included were 20-some-odd sheets of instructions, from bumper removal to the actual TB stuff. I thought that was pretty cool. Eventually, I think I'm gonna turn the instructions they gave into a DIY with pictures and the like, we'll see how it goes. Between this stuff and the rest of the parts scattered around my apartment its like Christmas

edit: the cheap beer is not included in the kit. lol

Wow, all that AND a can of beer! What service. Now only if it was something worth drinking.....

I look forward to the pictures of the steps. I will be doing that this summer if I don't sell this car and buy an S4 (not likely because I am a cheap bastard and like the underdog 12v engine) before then.

Also you can't knock Natty too bad it is cheaper than bottled water but has a similiar taste and can get your buzzed. Plus you can drink through a 30 pack in two days without a hangover. If only they sold it in bottles here, in the bottle it is my long day drinking beer of choice.

I just finished a TB job with their kit and rental tools, and the instructions were very helpful. I wish I had bought the accessory belt tensioner, as it wasn't included in my kit.

My question is why do they send you four bottles of antifreeze? I completely drained my system during the job and I only used two bottles mixing with water at a 1:1 ratio to fill it back up. Seems like an unnecessary expense...

Yeah I'm a natty man, what can I say lol. As for the coolant I'm not sure, is there any reason you would put in straight G-12 w/o mixing it?
