Default Blemish on the rear bumper

Hello,
I have some cloudy discoloration on the top of the rear bumper - pls see the attached picture. Tried claybar but that did not do anything. Could you pls help to advise what this is and how I can clean/fix this?
Thanks!

Cool

Have you tried using like a cleaner wax and buffing it with a wheel? Sometimes that will help.

Meguires makes a great cleaner wax and so does 3M, though if you go with 3M use the restorer wax. Use a decent sized buffing wheel and make sure that you are using moderate RPMs, not slow like grandma and not fast like mario. You might have to go over it a couple of times. Oh, and don't be afraid to apply SOME pressure.

Now, I should add that I didn't actually do this on a car, but I did it on a really old neglected boat. The clear coat/gel coat was demolished.

Good luck and let me know how it works!

That looks like it needs to be re sprayed, try what AudiGirl said but from the looks of it I doubt that will work.

Good luck.

Looks like someone buffed the clearcoat off the base, doubt anything will bring that back short of reclearing it.

I had a black car back in the day and the same thing happened to it in the same spot. The clear has just worn off. You can try waxing it to help make it blend in a bit but the only real fix is to re-spray the bumper.
